On September 7, Bian Junsheng, general manager of Shanghai Huifei Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Huifei), Huayin Public Welfare Service Center of Minhang District, Shanghai, and a team from the Lancang County Committee for Caring for the Next Generation came to Mujia Township Primary School, Zhutang Township Primary School & Middle School in Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, to bring special holiday gifts for the children of ethnic minorities in the border mountains.
Lancang Lahu Autonomous County, under the jurisdiction of Pu'er City, is located in the southwest of Yunnan Province. It is named after the Lancang River to the east. Muga Township and Zhutang Township are the townships with the largest Lahu population in the county. The Lahu culture has a long history. It also breeds batches of simple and kind students who are eager to get out of the mountains.
Shanghai Huifei has been providing targeted financial assistance to poor students in Lancang County since 2022, but due to the epidemic, the funds could not be distributed on site. In this 2023 charity education project, Shanghai Huifei will continue to support 20 poor students. The local Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation has selected some Lahu and Hani students from Mujia Township Primary School, Zhutang Primary School & Middle School for donations based on the actual situation of the students, to ignite the children's academic dreams and help the development of Lancang frontier education.
